My name is Christopher Selem, and I am an elementary educator preparing for full-time classroom teaching. I have experience supporting students in grades K–5 through literacy instruction, math intervention, co-teaching, and differentiated learning.

As a bilingual educator, I value inclusive classrooms where students feel seen, supported, and challenged. My goal is to create engaging lessons that help students build confidence, curiosity, and academic growth.

I think I usually choose the path less traveled, and that is partly what has brought me to teaching. Before I was a teacher, I had a 12-year career in Media and Production, where I worked as a Writer and Producer. Life throws you curveballs and after taking some time to experience and try out some new things, I decided that I had a passion for education. I have a bachelor’s degree in Digital Media and Film, but I am currently in Graduate school and pursuing a Master's in teaching from Walden University.

I love to travel and have done a lot of it, and I never plan to stop. I love experiencing new things, seeing the world and how others live it, and gaining new perspectives from my experiences. I also love experiencing new food…and just food in general.  I have a big Cuban-American family and we are all pretty close so when I have downtime you can find me spending time with my family or friends, traveling, and of course eating something delicious.
